Job summary

Securiguard Services Ltd. is seeking professional, reliable Security Officers to join the team at the Coop Refinery in Regina. The role focuses on access control, patrols, monitoring security systems, and incident response in a busy industrial setting.

You will work part-time, with a 16-hour week schedule from Monday to Thursday evenings, and a pay rate of 18.50 CAD per hour. A drug/alcohol screen, clean-shaven appearance, and a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 licence are required.

Qualifications

• Willing to obtain Saskatchewan Security Guard License.
• Authorized to work in Canada; clean driving record preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification an asset; valid Class 5 licence.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist employees, contractors, and visitors while verifying IDs and issuing access credentials.
• Control access at entry/exit points using electronic systems and physical checks.
• Conduct interior, exterior, and mobile patrols to identify risks and maintain presence.
• Monitor security systems, alarms, and CCTV activity; document incidents.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and complaints promptly.
• Provide first response support and coordinate with emergency services as needed.
• Secure doors, enforce site policies, and protect client assets from theft or vandalism.
• Complete incident reports, logs, and maintenance records; liaise with site management.

Job description

Securiguard is currently seeking professional, reliable, and customer-focused Security Officers to join our team at the Co-op Refinery in Regina. This is a high-profile industrial environment where attention to detail, sound judgment, and exceptional customer service are critical to success.

As an Industrial Security Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment while building strong relationships with refinery staff, contractors, and visitors.

Position Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for access control, scheduled and mobile patrols, monitoring security systems, incident response, and supporting overall safety and operational protocols. You will work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, high-traffic industrial setting.

Location : Coop Refinery, 550 East 9th Avenue North, Regina, SK S4P 3A1

Type: Part Time

Pay rate: $18.50/hr

Timings: Mon to Thurs 3.30 pm to 7.30 pm (Day shift)

Hours: 16 hours per week

Mandatory Requirements:

Candidates must successfully complete a drug and alcohol screening, maintain a clean-shaven appearance, and possess a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist employees, contractors, and visitors while verifying identification and issuing access credentials

• Conduct vehicle searches of contractor vehicles
• Monitor and document security systems, alarms, and CCTV activity
• Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and complaints
• Provide first response support and coordinate with emergency services when required
• Secure doors, enforce site policies, procedures, and security regulations
• Protect client assets from theft, vandalism, trespassing, and safety concerns
• Complete detailed incident reports, daily logs, and maintenance records
• Liaise effectively with site management and internal security teams
• Maintain a visible, professional, and customer-focused presence at all times

Qualifications & Requirements

• Willing to Obtain Saskatchewan Security Guard License
• Authorized to work in Canada
• First Aid/CPR certification an asset
• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 driver's licence
• Clean driver's abstract (past 12 months)
• Clean criminal record checkClean shaven appearance needed
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with basic computer and phone systems
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends
• Physically fit and able to stand or walk for extended periods
• Previous experience in an industrial or oil & gas environment is considered an asset
