Job summary

Ecovyst in Timmins, Ontario is seeking a dedicated Process Operator to help meet production goals and run the plant safely and efficiently. The role requires adherence to process controls, safety protocols, and shift rotations with on-call duties.

You will monitor data, perform inspections, and support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining accurate records and safe operations. The position offers full-time hours and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial plant or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with process equipment, troubleshooting, and reliability improvement activities.
• Experience operating and monitoring industrial utility or process systems.
• Knowledge of chemical process safety, PPE and records management.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor process equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.
• Monitor, record, and analyze process data including pressure, temperature, flow rates, and product quality.
• Operate process control systems (manual, pneumatic, PLC, DCS) and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform routine inspections of pumps, tanks, piping, gauges, meters, and other equipment.
• Conduct basic mechanical maintenance and load/unload raw materials and finished products.
• Complete operational records and documentation accurately and timely.
• Participate in continuous improvement, reliability initiatives, MOC activities, and SOP maintenance.
• Train and mentor new operators on procedures and safety practices.
