Job summary

Skiffra is seeking a Business Analyst to map real-world operations, translate data from multiple systems into documented processes, and turn insights into reusable production tools. The role blends on-site client work in a mining-adjacent environment with ongoing collaboration with Skiffra's IT, engineering and product teams in Montreal.

You will run workshops, define end-to-end processes (BPMN), quantify value, and establish KPIs for implemented tools, ensuring data quality and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience in business analysis or business process mapping, ideally in industrial/mining environments.
• Working-level SQL and Python, and comfort with a BI or low-code tool.
• Practical exposure to an ERP — SAP strongly preferred.
• Comfort running workshops and translating between operational staff and technical teams.
• Understanding of data governance concepts: ownership, lineage, and quality.
• Fluent French and working English — site operates in French; group standards and vendors work in English.
• Based in Montreal and available to travel regularly to the operation site, about once a month.

Responsibilities

• Map and document business processes end to end in BPMN.
• Go on site, run workshops, surface gaps between documented and actual processes.
• Quantify value and turn analysis into tools (dashboard, data pipeline, workflow app).
• Establish financial baselines and KPIs for each tool built.
• Analyze integrations between systems and specify data movement, ownership, quality, lineage.
• Translate operational language into system requirements and vice versa.
• Establish process ownership with named business owners.
• Train client users and hand over ownership.
