Are you an experienced Business Analyst with a passion for Data Transformation?

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for anIntermediate Business Analyst - Data Transformation (Fabric). In this position, you will support a major enterprise data transformation initiative by collaborating with business stakeholders, understanding their processes, and translating their needs into actionable requirements to drive system and data improvements.

Pay rate range (CAD): $50.00/hr – $55.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Work directly with business stakeholders across departments to understand processes, pain points, objectives, and information needs
• Lead end-to-end requirements gathering, from discovery to design, QA, validation, and UAT
• Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions with business users and leaders
• Ask probing questions to extract clear, actionable requirements and use cases
• Develop and maintain a prioritized backlog of use cases, requirements, and enhancements
• Document current and future state business processes with process maps and business requirements documents (BRDs)
• Ensure requirements are well understood and actionable by both technical and business teams
• Obtain stakeholder validation and formal sign-off on requirements and documentation
• Support data transformation initiatives by understanding data flows, relationships, and business rules
• Assist in data mapping, lineage, and traceability efforts to improve data quality and governance
• Collaborate with technical teams to define source and target data requirements
• Understand ETL concepts to communicate business needs and validate technical outcomes
• Support the definition of data governance within the Microsoft Fabric and Purview environment
• Help identify data quality, ownership, accessibility, and consistency requirements
• Remain engaged during design, testing, and implementation, clarifying requirements and resolving questions
• Support QA activities, develop test scenarios, manage UAT, and validate delivered solutions
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, ITPMO, and external development partners
• Build strong relationships across departments, effectively communicating requirements, risks, and priorities
• Support program roadmap development, prioritization, and backlog refinement
• Contribute to the requirements and business analysis discipline supporting enterprise transformation

Desired Skill-Set

• 5+ years of business-facing Business Analyst experience within enterprise or transformation programs
• Proven ability to work directly with stakeholders to elicit and manage requirements end-to-end
• Strong documentation, process mapping, use case development, and business analysis skills
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management abilitiesExperience supporting enterprise data, information management, or data-driven initiatives
• Knowledge of data mapping, lineage, traceability, business rules, and data quality concepts
• Familiarity with ETL processes and how data flows between systems
• Understanding of enterprise data environments or platforms such as data warehouses or data fabric solutions
• Ability to operate effectively in a Waterfall environment, managing requirements across multiple phases
• Adaptability to evolving requirements and stakeholder needs

Nice to Have

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Purview
• Exposure to enterprise data management or governance programs
• Familiarity with ERP, CRM, financial, or planning systems
• Experience working with external vendors or consulting teams
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data transformation initiatives
