Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial automation programming.
• Solid knowledge of PLC languages (Allen Bradley, RX Logix 5000, 500, Siemens) and HMIs (RS Studio).
• Knowledge or ability to create schematics, wiring, and layout drawings.
• Knowledge of electrical and control design areas, including power distribution, system studies, control systems, variable frequency drives, PLC, DCS, HMI systems.
• Experience with applying and troubleshooting wiring and electronics controls.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent prioritization skills with minimal guidance and direction.
• Experience with the freezer control panel or similar panel protocol is preferred.
• Working knowledge of UL, CSA, CE is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC/HMI programs for various machines.
• Set up VFDs and servo and instrument systems.
• Provide direction to junior staff members.
• Lead and execute small to mid-sized automation projects.
• Originate and propose electrical engineering changes as needed.
