Job summary

Peaskie Minerals Inc. in Opal, AB, seeks a detail-oriented Planner/Scheduler to coordinate production and maintenance schedules.

You will develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly plans, aligning staffing with forecasts and project priorities, while collaborating with direct staff and subcontractors. Ideal candidates bring industrial planning and scheduling experience, strong Excel and ERP abilities, and the capacity to optimize labour utilization across a dynamic site environment.

Qualifications

Experience in industrial planning and scheduling.
Mining, aggregates, construction or heavy industry experience is a plus.
Strong workforce scheduling and labour allocation skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Clear communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Excel and office software; familiarity with ERP required.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and communicate schedules for production and maintenance teams.
Provide quarterly plans to subcontractors for labour and equipment needs.
Coordinate workforce assignments for direct staff and cost-reimbursable subcontractors.
Collaborate on outage planning and align staffing with forecasts and priorities.
Identify staffing gaps and propose solutions to avoid production impact.
Help implement asset management, planning, and scheduling tools.
Prepare labour utilization reports, forecasts, and metrics for leadership.
