Job summary

Meridian Manufacturing Inc. in Alberta is seeking a Painter to apply powder or liquid coatings to parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will identify defects, maintain equipment, manage ventilation and PPE, and document production data while working with a variety of surfaces and product sizes.

The role requires attention to safety, quality, and operational procedures, with responsibilities spanning preparation, coating, inspection, and timely communication with Team Management.

Qualifications

• English communication required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as general laborer or painter is a plus.
• Knowledge of high/low-pressure paint equipment is a plus.
• Safety awareness and safe lifting procedures.
• Ability to read blueprints/test drawings.

Responsibilities

• Select appropriate paint per product specs.
• Prepare and inspect surfaces prior to painting.
• Maintain paint guns and equipment; manage ventilation and PPE.
• Record start/end times, paint usage, defects, and QC documentation.
• Monitor inventory; report low supplies.
• Prepare and clean work site.
• Notify maintenance for equipment repairs.
• Move products using proper handling procedures.
• Operate spray guns for powder or liquid coatings.
