Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter / High-Performance Coater to join the Paint Department for a long-term, full-time role in Calgary. The position offers day and night shifts with a premium for night work and overtime based on production volume.

You will mix/apply high-solids coatings, perform high-quality metallic finishes, and maintain spray equipment while ensuring proper ventilation and safety practices. Immediate start for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

Comprehensive background in industrial painting with high-performance coatings.
Mastery of pressure pot systems, tip selection, and material viscosity.
Must be able to do a respirator fit test on Day 1 (clean-shaven).
Must own CSA-approved safety boots that cover the ankle.
Certifications in Forklift, Overhead Crane, and Rigging are beneficial; sandblasting experience is a strong asset.
A proactive, 'hit the ground running' attitude and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

Mix and apply specialized high-solids, epoxy, and polyurethane systems following induction times and ratios.
Execute high-quality metallic finishes and two-tone paint jobs with precise masking.
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot high-pressure pot systems; perform teardowns and maintenance on spray guns and pumps.
Utilize gauges to verify Dry Film Thickness (DFT) to meet manufacturer specs.
Proactively manage booth health, including monitoring and changing filters for safety and airflow.
