Job summary

Air Wise Sales Inc. is hiring an Industrial Painter to prepare and paint air handler units, including doors and small components, at our Hamilton facilities. You will follow our procedures, maintain equipment, and contribute to efficient production.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of industrial painting experience, familiarity with spray booths, and a focus on quality, safety, and meeting deadlines while collaborating with a skilled team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare air handler units for painting: clean, caulk, wipe metal surfaces
  • Paint air handling units, doors and components to high quality standards
  • Maintain and clean equipment and work area throughout the day
  • Track inventory and assist in ordering supplies/materials
  • Communicate with Supervisor about job-specific issues or requirements
  • Assist in other plant areas including light assembly and loading/unloading

Responsibilities and Duties include:
  • Prepare air handler units for painting, including, but not limited to cleaning, caulking, and wiping metal surfaces
  • Carrying out high-quality painting of air handling units, including entire unit, doors, and small components such as screws
  • Clean and maintain equipment and work area throughout the day
  • Conduct inventory tracking and assist on ordering supplies/materials
  • Communicate clearly and timely with the Supervisor about job specific issues or requirements
  • Assist in other parts of the plant including light assembly, loading/unloading as required
  • Promote teamwork and good company morale; mentor and knowledge share with teammates; conduct yourself with the highest ethical standards
Qualifications & Education:
  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years experience with industrial painting and working in a spray booth, preferably in an automotive setting
  • Experience painting sheet metal, ideally with industrial air handling units, including entire unit, doors, and small components such as screws
  • Knowledge/Experience working with an Electrostatic spray gun
  • Ability to mix paint as per Manufacture’s specifications
  • Ability to use power hand tools and conduct repetitive tasks
  • Detail-oriented and able to follow a process to completion
  • Knowledge of HVAC manufacturing an asset
  • Able to work as a part of the team with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time; ability to lift and move large pieces of sheet metal (up to and above 50 lbs.) on a consistent basis
