Job summary

Garibaldi Glass is seeking a Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) to support reliability and efficient operation across our Burnaby facility. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades while assisting with new equipment installations.

You will collaborate with the Maintenance team to minimize downtime, improve efficiency, and ensure safety and compliance with manufacturer requirements.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Millwright ticket or equivalent experience/schooling is required.
• 1-3 years of industrial mechanic experience in manufacturing.
• Welding and fabrication experience required.

Responsibilities

• Completing upgrades or repairs to enhance equipment efficiency or lifespan.
• Assisting in teardowns, re-assembly and installation of mechanical equipment.
• Diagnosing and repairing breakdowns efficiently.
• Carrying out mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic adjustments on equipment.
• Performing preventative maintenance per manufacturer recommendations.
• Ensuring work aligns with schedule and cost constraints.
• Collaborating with maintenance coordinator on parts and services ordering.
• Maintaining maintenance paperwork per company procedures.
• Participating in ongoing maintenance projects.
• Mentoring apprentices millwrights using strong mechanical skills.
• Adhering to all safety standards.
