Wood Canada Ltd. is seeking an Industrial Millwright/Mechanical Fitter for offshore work on the Hibernia Platform in Newfoundland and Labrador. This casual/temporary role operates on a call-out basis, with 12-hour shifts and rotation as needed.

The successful candidate will install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot stationary machinery in challenging outdoor conditions, including confined spaces and extreme temperatures, while adhering to safety protocols.

Wood is recruiting an Industrial Millwright / Mechanical Fitter – Adhoc (Casual /Temporary) to join its Operations team focusing on the oil and gas petrochemical industry. This opportunity is offshore Newfoundland and Labrador, working on an as needed, call-out basis.As an Industrial Millwright / Mechanical Fitter, you will install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. As well as planning and executing millwright activities in accordance with drawings and specifications. Within this role you will work in confined spaces and/or at heights, in outdoor and extreme temperatures and weather conditions.

The Role

• Location: Offshore Newfoundland and Labrador
• Site / Office based: Hibernia Platform
• Hours of work: 12 hours per day
• Rotation / work pattern: Call out, as needed
• Required: Site-specific medical, drug and alcohol testing
• Unionized position: Rates follow the Collective Bargaining Agreement

You will be working in confined spaces and/or at heights, as well as noisy conditions. Work may be indoors or outdoors, and at extreme temperatures.
