Job summary

Magna Windsor Seating seeks an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to keep production line equipment in peak condition. You will set up and operate a range of machines, repair production equipment, and perform preventative maintenance. Strong troubleshooting, welding (MIG/TIG/STICK) and reading blueprints are essential.

Ideal candidates have a journeyman millwright certification, Grade 12, CWB 4-position, and solid English communication with basic computer skills. Safety and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Journeyman millwright certification.
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG and STICK).
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints, specifications and manuals.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and knowledge.
• Good English communication and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production and quality by ensuring all production and other mechanical equipment is properly maintained and in peak operating condition.
• Set up and operate lathes, milling, grinding, drilling, sawing, welding and boring machines within prescribed tolerances.
• Repair and maintain plant production and related equipment.
• Monitor, identify and respond to signs of malfunction; troubleshoot machinery; report findings using eMaint software/tablet.
• Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for equipment.
• Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification or installation of machinery.
• Keep work area clean and safe; work with other team members as required.
