Job summary

WB Melback Corporation seeks a skilled Millwright (Journeyman or Apprentice) to install, inspect, maintain, and repair industrial equipment across project sites in Ontario. The role requires adherence to safety standards and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Travel to construction sites, use hand and power tools, document maintenance, and ensure devices function properly after work. Shifts are long and demanding, with accommodations and travel supported where needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety standards for equipment.
• Millwright experience at journeyman or apprentice level.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible with strong interpersonal skills in a diverse environment.
• Willingness to work on other projects.
• Experience in OSB and wood forest/mining products is an asset.
• Valid Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Travel to construction site to meet project-based needs.
• Install stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment per layout using hand and power tools.
• Inspect machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
• Adjust machinery or replace defective parts as needed.
• Ensure operating safety devices function after repairs/modifications.
• Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
• Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance on machinery.
• Adhere to safety policies, regulations and compliances.
• Maintain a clean and environmentally safe work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
