Job summary

Viacore Solutions in Edmonton is seeking a Journeyman Millwright to join our services team. The role involves maintenance, repair, and inspection of fixed rotating equipment, with potential travel for service operations. Applicants must hold a Millwright Journeyman Certificate; apprentice positions are not considered.

You will work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, mentoring apprentices and ensuring safe, efficient completion of assignments. Travel and shift work may be required.

Qualifications

• Millwright Journeyman Certificate is required.
• Pre-employment drug & alcohol screening is required.
• Clean Driver's Abstract is required.

Responsibilities

• Align and service fixed rotating equipment.
• Use machining, hand, power, and precision tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Assemble machinery and assist with start-up.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and manuals.
• Support shutdowns and asset rebuilds.
• Keep work area and equipment safe and clean.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Operate mobile equipment and hoists as needed.
• Complete jobs promptly and professionally.
• Work solo or in teams as required.
• Mentor apprentices through their development.

Job Summary

Our Edmonton branch is currently seeking a Journeyman Millwright to join our dynamic services team. We are looking for skilled, experienced, and highly motivated professionals with a strong work ethic who thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. This role may involve some travel as part of service operations. This is a current vacancy.At this time, we are only accepting applications from candidates with a Millwright Journeyman Certificate. Apprentice positions are not being considered.

Job duties

• Alignments, maintenance, repair, service, and inspection of fixed rotating equipment
• Proficient in the use of machining tools, hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement tools
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical equipment
• Assemble machinery and commission start-up support
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and manuals
• Shutdown service support and asset rebuilds
• Keep work area and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition
• Perform duties and operate equipment in a safe and satisfactory manner
• Safely operate mobile equipment and hoisting devices when necessary
• Complete all jobs in a timely manner
• Able to work individually or in larger group atmospheres
• Mentor apprentices through their professional development
