Job summary

Mondelēz International in Ontario, Canada is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright) to keep our processing and packaging lines running safely and efficiently. You will lead preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex equipment, and coach technicians on PM practices.

You bring a Certified Millwright, 3+ years in manufacturing (food industry a plus), ability to read schematics, CMMS experience, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Certified Millwright (433A) or equivalent mechanical trade license.
• 3+ years in an industrial/manufacturing setting; food industry a plus.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Comfortable with 12‑hour rotating continental shifts.
• Experience with CMMS and preventive maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on production equipment and systems.
• Respond to breakdowns quickly and safely to minimize downtime.
• Inspect, maintain, and rebuild mechanical components like gearboxes, bearings, belts, shafts and drives.
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with other trades, production, and quality teams to solve problems and improve processes.
• Follow all safety, food safety (GMP, HACCP), and environmental procedures.
• Keep maintenance records up to date in the CMMS.
• Contribute to a respectful, team‑first work culture.
