Job summary

Héroux-Devtek in Cambridge is seeking an Industrial Millwright to maintain and repair shop floor machines. Candidates should have a minimum grade 12 diploma and Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Millwright, with at least 5 years of experience in CNC and conventional machinery.

Your role will involve troubleshooting, ensuring operational safety, and adhering to health and safety standards. This position is critical for maintaining efficient production and safety in the workplace.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and repairing shop floor machines.
• Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of machine breakdowns.
• Ensuring operating safety devices function properly after repairs, modifications, and installations.
• Participating in the PM program on all equipment for continuous improvement.
• Following up with contractors/suppliers to ensure parts are ordered and received on time.
• Prioritizing the work schedule to minimize disruption to production.
• Maintaining and repairing the physical plant structure.
• Implementing health and safety enhancements to machines and the plant.
• Performing 5‑S activities, including health and safety awareness/initiatives.
• Adhering at all times to company policies and procedures.
• Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
• Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum grade 12 diploma and Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Millwright.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Industrial Millwright, including maintaining and repairing CNC and conventional machinery.
• Working knowledge of equipment safety standards.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to wear required PPE.
• Candidates must meet security screening requirements as set by ITAR/CGRP directives.
• Own tools and equipment: steel‑toed safety boots and required tools.
