Job summary

Heroux Devtek Inc is seeking an experienced Industrial Millwright responsible for maintenance and repair of CNC and conventional shop floor machines, emphasizing safety and reliability.

Applicants must hold a Grade 12 diploma and a Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Millwright, with at least five years of experience; lifting up to 50 pounds and PPE are required. ITAR/CGRP security screening applies. On-site role in Ontario, with accommodations as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 diploma.
• Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Millwright.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Industrial Millwright and experience maintaining and repairing CNC and conventional machinery.
• Working knowledge of safety standards for equipment.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and wear PPE.
• Candidates must meet ITAR/CGRP security screening requirements.
• Own tools/equipment including steel-toed safety boots.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair CNC and conventional machinery on the shop floor.
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of machine breakdowns.
• Ensure safety devices function properly after repairs, modifications and installations.
• Participate in the preventive maintenance program for all equipment.
• Follow up with contractors/suppliers to ensure parts are ordered and received promptly.
• Prioritize work to minimize disruption to production.
• Maintain and repair physical plant structures.
• Support 5-S activities including health and safety initiatives.
• Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
• Maintain a clean and environmentally safe work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Maintaining and repairing (or arranging for the repair of shop floor machines.
• Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of machine breakdowns.
• Ensuring operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations.
• Participating in the PM program on all equipment for continuous improvement of all machines.
• Follow up with contractors/suppliers to ensure parts are ordered and received on a timely basis.
• Prioritizing work schedule to ensure minimal disruption to production.
• Maintaining and repairing physical plant structure.
• Health and Safety enhancements to the machines and plant.
• 5-S Activities which include health & safety awareness/initiatives.
• Adherence at all times to all Company policies and procedures.
• Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
• Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Gr. 12 diploma and Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Millwright.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Industrial Millwright, with experience maintaining and repairing CNC and conventional machinery.

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• The ability to wear the required PPE.
• Candidates must meet security screening requirements as set out by ITAR/CGRP directives.
