Job description

Responsibilities:

1. Perform all planned maintenance (Preventive & Predictive) assigned in a timely manner and use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to log all activities, including planned, reactive, and emergency tasks.
2. Repair equipment and document detailed root causes and countermeasures for breakdowns; communicate effectively with management and peers.
3. Provide effective and timely on-floor support to maintenance team members, including coverage during off-shift and weekends as needed.
4. Assist in the ongoing improvement of the work order system.
5. Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to implement permanent solutions for equipment and process issues.
6. Be familiar with measuring tools and the safe operation of hand tools such as grinders, drills, mechanical saws, sanders, and buffers.
7. Support the development and documentation of maintenance procedures, point lessons, and implement a competency-based training program.
8. Participate as a team member in small and large technical projects.
9. Experience with the pasteurization process is considered an asset.
10. Assist in repairing valves and pumps.
11. Perform additional duties as required.

Experience and Requirements:

• Licensed millwright (A), Technician, or Technologist Degree/Diploma related to maintenance or engineering, with a preference for electrical, mechanical, and robotics specialization.
• Proficiency with CMMS; capable of conducting and completing planned maintenance tasks, work orders, and generating new work orders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and high-intensity environment.
• Strong communication, learning, and teaching skills.
• Effective team player.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, procedures, engineering drawings, and government regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to gather and document data, and a working knowledge of the programs.
• Highly motivated with the capability to conduct root cause analysis and identify permanent solutions.
