Job summary

Ocean Steel & Construction Ltd. in Fredericton, New Brunswick, is seeking a Red Seal Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic/Millwright to perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, pneumatic systems, cranes, and related equipment in a heavy fabrication environment.

The role requires troubleshooting skills and the ability to read schematics and electrical diagrams; PLC experience is a strong asset. This is a full-time position with overtime and safety expectations in a multi-site OSCO operation.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyperson required.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with pneumatics, schematics and machine drawings.
• Experience with electrical systems and PLCs is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment including conveyors, shotblast machines, welding equipment and cranes.
• Maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems and repair as needed.
• Maintain parts inventory and maintenance logs; coordinate external contractors.
• Follow safe work practices and work at heights; overtime as required.
