Job summary

CenterLine (Windsor) Limited is seeking an Industrial Mechanic Millwright Apprentice. The role involves building, installing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repairing machinery and mechanical systems in a clean, guarded plant environment.

The successful candidate must be enrolled in an apprenticeship or have completed schooling and be pursuing Red Seal certification. Wage range offered is $22.00 to $36.00 per hour with overtime, per diem for out-of-town travel, benefits, and a strong

• Currently enrolled in an Industrial Mechanical Millwright Apprenticeship Program or have recently completed their apprenticeship schooling and pursuing Red Seal certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembling, dismantling and installation of machinery and equipment.
• Build, install, commission, troubleshoot and repair of machinery and mechanical systems.
• Demonstrate ability to perform tasks safely and effectively under supervision with increasing independence.
• Follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Travel within Canada, USA and Mexico as required.
• Complete theoretical training as per government regulations.

Responsible for building, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and repairs of machinery and mechanical systems.

The successful applicant must be currently enrolled in an Industrial Mechanic Millwright Apprenticeship Program or have recently completed their apprenticeship schooling and be pursuing Red Seal certification.

What we’re looking for Fulfill all requirements of apprenticeship contract as per the Ministry of Education and Training guidelines.

Willingness to complete theoretical training as per government regulation and pass required exams.

Demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks safely and effectively under the direction of a supervisor or Journeyman, with progressive independence and minimal supervision as skills and experience develop.

Perform assembling, dismantling and installation of machinery and equipment.

Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot.

Ability to follow direction and work as a team.

Eagerness to learn and grow within the trade.

Possession of a valid driver’s license and passport.

Ability to travel within Canada, USA, and Mexico.

What you need to succeed Currently enrolled in an Industrial Mechanical Millwright Apprenticeship Program or have recently completed their apprenticeship schooling and pursuing Red Seal certification..

Secondary school diploma, required.

Manufacturing experience required.

Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

In addition to a competitive salary and benefits, employees work in a clean, air-conditioned plant, receive overtime pay after 40 hours and per diem if scheduled for out-of-town travel.
