Job summary

CenterLine Windsor Limited, located in Windsor, Ontario, is seeking a self-motivated CNC Boring Mill Operator to set up, program, operate and monitor horizontal and vertical boring mills to produce complex components per engineering specs.

You will interpret drawings, verify dimensions with precision gauges, report tool and part deviations, and contribute to a lean manufacturing environment with opportunities for career development and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience setting up and running programs in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, operate, and maintain CNC boring mills.
• Machine complex components to engineering specifications.
• Interpret drawings and tolerances.
• Report equipment malfunctions and adjust as needed.

What you will do

CenterLine Windsor Limited is looking for a self-motivated, reliable individual to fill the position of CNC Boring Mill Operator responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and monitoring horizontal/vertical CNC boring mills to machine, complex, and precision components such as large plates, weldments, and structural frames to engineering specifications.

What we’re looking for

• Study and interpret drawings, specifications, to determine dimensions and tolerances of operations and setup requirements.
• Set up, program, operate, and maintain a variety of horizontal / vertical CNC boring mills.
• Report equipment malfunctions and detect machined parts out of tolerance. Adjust machine accordingly, within the employee’s capabilities.
• Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• Report deviations from specifications and tolerances to supervisor.

What you need to succeed

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Experience in setting up and running programs in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

Wage Range: $24.00-$34.00 hourly
