Job summary

SPX Technologies, within the Cooling Engineered Air Movement group, seeks a Maintenance Technician in Smiths Falls, Ontario. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production machinery and facility systems in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include diagnosing hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical issues and PLCs, using CMMS for maintenance logs, and coordinating with contractors. A technical diploma and experience in industrial maintenance are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems and PLCs.
• Experience using CMMS to manage maintenance tasks and log data.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Fast learner and capable of working independently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain production machinery and facility systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues quickly to minimize downtime.
• Use CMMS to log work orders, track downtime and plan preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities in MS Office suite.
