Job summary

Richmond Steel Recycling Limited is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance crew and external contractors in a heavy industrial setting. You will supervise skilled trades, plan preventive and corrective work, and drive reliability, safety, and cost control.

The role reports to the Operations Manager and requires strong technical leadership, planning, and collaboration with Operations and Safety to support production goals.

Qualifications

Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
Red Seal Certification in a relevant trade.
7+ years of maintenance/industrial experience.
2+ years supervisory/leadership experience.
Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic knowledge.
Experience with CMMS and planning maintenance.

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities with Maintenance Scheduler.
Supervise welders, heavy‑duty mechanics, and millwrights.
Lead safe execution and cost control of maintenance work.
Support shutdown planning and contractor coordination.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and CMMS documentation.
Monitor costs and contribute to budget planning.
