Job summary

FMP Group LP in the Edmonton area is seeking experienced Heat Treatment Technicians to join our growing team. You will perform preheat, PWHT, bake-out activities and operate heat treatment units while ensuring safety and quality on client sites.

The role requires the ability to read procedures, document results, and work with multi-zone heat treatment equipment. Travel to Bonnyville/Fort McMurray regions may be required as projects evolve.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial heat treatment and PWHT procedures.
• Experience with multi-zone heat treatment units.
• Familiarity with ICE & HeatView software is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform preheat, PWHT and bake-out activities.
• Setup and operation of heat treatment units and associated equipment.
• Install heating elements, insulation and thermocouples.
• Monitor and record temperatures throughout heat treatment cycles.
• Read and follow heat treatment procedures, specifications and client requirements.
• Complete required heat treatment documentation, charts and records.
• Inspect cables, leads, thermocouples and equipment prior to use.
• Safely lift, carry and move heat treatment equipment, cables and materials.
• Climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding and access equipment as required.
• Work safely at heights and within industrial facilities.
• Perform physically demanding work associated with equipment setup and removal.
• Follow all company, client and site-specific safety requirements.
