Job summary

Superior Fire Control Ltd. seeks an Industrial Firefighter for the Grande Prairie, AB area. This full-time, on-site role involves responding to emergencies, maintaining firefighting equipment, and supporting safety programs in oilfield environments.

You will travel regionally, stay in camps or hotels as required, and demonstrate leadership while upholding rigorous safety standards. Local candidates or those willing to relocate are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• NFPA 1001 Level 1&2 certification is preferred.
• NFPA 1081 Level 1&2 certification is preferred.
• H2S Alive and First Aid with CPR are standard in oilfield roles.

Responsibilities

• Travel throughout Alberta and BC to work.
• Stay in camp or hotels as needed.
• Set up and maintain firefighting gear and shower equipment per procedures.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and emphasize hazards.
• Drive company vehicles safely and keep them clean.
• Complete daily paperwork (pre/post inspections, safety checklists).
• Be fit for duty daily and follow all rules and expectations.
• Demonstrate leadership in all job aspects.
• Respond to emergencies per training.

Superior Fire Control Ltd. in Northern and Southern Alberta is currently looking for: FULL TIME AND DAY RATE Industrial Firefighters - local to Grande Prairie or willing to relocate to Grande Prairie

Duties and Responsibilities

• Must be able to travel throughout Alberta and BC to work
• Must be willing to stay in camp and hotels
• Set up and maintain Superior Fire Control Ltd. firefighting and/or shower equipment as described in specific procedures
• Conduct regular safety meetings with an emphasis on specific hazards
• Drive company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner
• Maintain and keep vehicles in excellent working order and keep them clean at ALL times
• Be punctual
• Display professional work habits in the shop and on location
• Completion of daily paperwork, such as Vehicle Pre/Post Trip Inspections, Safety Meeting Checklists, ERP’s
• Being fit for duty daily and complying with all of Superior’s and/or Clients rules and expectations
• Demonstrate leadership in all aspects of job performance
• Respond to any emergency as per your training

Qualifications

• Firefighting Certificate – NFPA 1001 Level 1 & 2 and or 1081 Level 1 & 2 (not required but a great bonus)
• OR volunteer Fire Fighting experience
• OR Wildland Fire Fighting experience
• Standard Oilfield Tickets (H2S Alive, Standard First Aid with CPR)
• Superior will provide company specific TDG and WHIMIS tickets
• Valid Class 5 (NO GDL’s)
• Class 1 or 3 - not required - but a definite asset
• CSO
