Job summary

Johnson Electric in Stratford, ON is seeking an Electrician to maintain, troubleshoot, install, and commission advanced manufacturing equipment. You will work on CNC, PLC, robotics, and automation systems to ensure safe, reliable production and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires a CQ or 442A/309A certification, at least 3 years’ experience with CNC/automated equipment, and strong knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Qualifications

  • Certificate of Qualification as an Electrician (442A or 309A) required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining CNC machining and automated assembly equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, CNC controls, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Experience troubleshooting automated assembly equipment and robotic systems.
  • Understanding of automotive manufacturing systems and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and facility systems.
  • Support the repair, refurbishment, and construction of CNC, PLC, and robotic equipment.
  • Install, assemble, debug, and start up new or modified production equipment.
  • Perform electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and controls troubleshooting.
  • Support planned maintenance and emergency repair activities.
