Job summary

Johnson Electric in Stratford, ON is hiring an Electrician to support the build, integration, and installation of automated systems onsite. You will assemble panels, troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic systems, and work with controls technicians on PLC, robotics, and vision system setups.

The role requires 3–5 years in industrial electrical or automation environments, knowledge of electrical drawings, and a valid electrician certificate (442A/309A) or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

  • Certificate of Qualification as an Electrician (442A or 309A) or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years in industrial electrical or automation environments.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings.
  • Experience with PLC systems, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial controls.
  • Familiarity with industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, IO-Link, AS-i).

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical panels, circuits, and field wiring based on approved designs.
  • Install and support automated systems on-site for new and existing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic systems effectively.
  • Collaborate with controls technicians during PLC, robotics, and vision system setup.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and resolve operational issues.
  • Participate in team meetings and cross-functional problem solving.
  • Assist in training and development of new team members.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and 5S.
