Job summary

Flyer Electric is seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians to join our construction teams on northern Saskatchewan uranium projects. This is a fly-in/fly-out camp position with flights from Saskatchewan. Compensation is $47 per hour, and accommodations are provided during each rotation.

Shift rotations: 2 weeks on/1 week off or 2 weeks on/2 weeks off, depending on project needs. Workdays are typically 11 hours.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Electrical Worker Certificate required.
  • Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson Certificate - Construction Electrician trade required.
  • Proven experience as an industrial electrician.
  • Saskatchewan Electrical License.
  • Current Fall Arrest and EWP Certificates.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain good relations with site personnel and customers.
  • Comply with Company’s corporate Health and Safety manual.
  • Adhere to Flyer Electric and customer policies and procedures.
  • Ensure project safety, profitability, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for the efficient use of materials and equipment and for overseeing field activities.
  • Ensure field work complies with project plans, schedule, budget, quality, and safety.
  • Complete safety documentation and daily progress reports (LEMs).
  • Attend daily/weekly site meetings and mandatory training.
  • Maintain professional image and teamwork; provide supervision to personnel when needed.
  • Guide and train apprentices in tools, materials, and techniques for efficient installations.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for experienced Journeyman Electricians to join our electrical construction teams throughout our northern Saskatchewan uranium support projects.

This is a fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) camp position. Flights to site depart from Saskatchewan only.

Compensation: $47 per hour

Accommodations: rooms and meals are provided during each rotation.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Establish and maintain good relations with site personnel and customers

  • Ensure project safety, profitability, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for the efficient use of materials and equipment, and for overseeing the performance of all field-related activities for each task/project.
  • Ensure field work is executed in compliance with project plans including specifications, project schedule, budget, quality, safety, and customer requirements
  • Complete and maintain appropriate documentation including all required safety documentation and daily progress reports (LEM’s)
  • Attend daily and weekly site meetings, as well as all mandatory training
  • Maintain a professional image and demonstrate positive attitude, teamwork, and workmanship
  • Provide safe and effective supervision and guidance to personnel when needed
  • Guide and train apprentices in the proper use of tools, materials, and techniques for most efficient electrical installations
  • Lead others by example
  • Perform any other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Qualified Electrical Worker Certificate
  • Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson Certificate - Construction Electrician trade
  • Proven experience as an industrial electrician
  • Saskatchewan Electrical License
  • Current Fall Arrest and EWP Certificates
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel regularly
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Clear & maintain a clean driving abstract and drug/alcohol clearance.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
