Job summary

HMB Pro Services / HMB INNOVATION INC in Dorval, QC is seeking an Industrial Draftsman to produce precise drawings and documentation for manufacturing using SolidWorks. The role reports to the Engineering Manager and focuses on developing 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings to support production.

The ideal candidate has 1–5 years in a drafting role within manufacturing, French and English language proficiency, and a diploma in mechanical engineering or related field.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Drafting or equivalent.
• 1–5 years of drafting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• SolidWorks proficiency is mandatory; AutoCAD or ERP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and update 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
• Produce product installation instructions and assembly guidelines for production departments.
• Generate CAD files in standard formats (STEP, DXF, etc.).
• Participate in the review, modification, and optimization of existing engineering drawings.
• Provide ongoing technical support and answer questions from the production team on the shop floor.
• Ensure all designs comply with internal engineering and manufacturing standards.

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Draftsman for our client located in Dorval, specializing in telecommunication parts and equipment manufacturing. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for producing precise drawings and documentation to support factory production using SolidWorks.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and update 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
• Produce product installation instructions and assembly guidelines for production departments.
• Generate CAD files in standard formats (STEP, DXF, etc.).

3. REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience : 1 to 5 years of experience in a similar drafting role within a manufacturing environment.
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in SolidWorks is mandatory (experience with AutoCAD or an ERP is an asset).
• Languages : Bilingualism (French and English, written and spoken).
