Job summary

Thorens is seeking a Product Developer to design and develop custom projects for commercial, hospitality, and retail spaces. Using SolidWorks, you will bridge design, production, and project management to deliver innovative, functional solutions.

You will create technical drawings, select materials, collaborate with suppliers, maintain BOMs, support production, and help ensure projects meet quality, budget, and schedule goals in a dynamic, growing environment.

Qualifications

• DEC or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom products using SolidWorks.
• Create technical drawings, assembly drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
• Analyze client needs and propose appropriate solutions.
• Select materials, components, and finishes based on project requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure design feasibility.

Profil

QUALIFICATIONS :

• College diploma (DEC) or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or equivalent);
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in product design or product development;
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally involving custom-made product development;
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks;
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technical drawing interpretation;
• Manufacturing industry experience;
• Bilingualism in French and English, both written and spoken;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy;
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.

WORK CONDITIONS :

• Permanent full-time position;
• Annual salary ranging from $75,000 to $80,000 , depending on experience;
