Job summary

Primoris Canada seeks Journeyperson pipefitters for multiple long-term projects at our Acheson fabrication shop. You will support small-diameter spools from 2” to 12” and fabricated assemblies in a nightshift 4x10s schedule in Edmonton.

The role offers a stable opportunity with an inclusive rate of $56.56/hr and a $3.00 nightshift premium. CSTS-20 and WHMIS are required; overhead crane and rigging experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Registered Alberta apprentice or journeyman Steamfitter/Pipefitter (AIT recognized).
• Valid CSTS-20 and WHMIS.
• Experience in a fabrication shop preferred.
• Overhead crane operation and rigging experience an asset.
• Confined Space certification considered an asset.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform pipe fitting activities in a fabrication shop environment.
• Fit pipe and components using Acorn, Spoolfab, and isometric drawings.
• Assemble and align pipe spools, flanges, fittings, and valves.
• Tack weld components in preparation for welding.
• Use jigs and clamps to ensure accuracy and repeatability.
• Operate overhead cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment for material handling.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances to meet quality requirements.
• Maintain housekeeping and participate in safety meetings.
