Primoris Canada is seeking a Steamfitter-Pipefitter Apprentice for our Edmonton fabrication shop. The role involves connecting pipe, hydro-testing, and rigging in a physically demanding indoor environment with an ASAP start.

The candidate must be Alberta registered or recognized CSTS holder, capable of reading blueprints and working in a team. Expect safety-focused work with opportunities in a premier infrastructure contractor serving the oil, gas, power, and petrochemical sectors across Canada

Qualifications

• Must be an Alberta registered apprentice or hold an apprenticeship certificate recognized by AIT (CSTS-09 or CSTS-20).
• Ability to read blueprints and select pipe types/sizes.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety rules and OH&S standards.
• Select pipe type, size, and systems per blueprints.
• Perform pressure tests and check for leaks.
• Install and maintain pneumatic/hydraulic components.
• Attend safety meetings and tailgate/toolbox talks.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Job Details Description COMPANY PROFILE Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services. SUMMARY The Steamfitter-Pipefitter Apprentice is involved in connecting pipe, hydro-testing, and rigging. This work exist indoors is typically physically demanding. Location: Edmonton Fabrication Shop - 17th ST Start Date: ASAP Rate: $28.84-43.25

JOB DUTIES

• Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
• Select type of pipe, size of pipe, and systems by applying knowledge of system operation and following blueprints
• Perform pressure tests by increasing pressure in pipe systems and observing pressure gauges to test for leaks
• Install and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic components of machines and equipment, such as pumps and cylinders
• Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
• May perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be an Alberta registered apprentice (or hold an apprenticeship certificate recognized by AIT) CSTS-09 or CSTS-20
• Knowledge of hydro testing is an asset
• Able to work well in a team environment
• Must be physically able to lift 50lbs and climb in/under units in the field
• Organized and self-motivated
• Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing is a condition of employment.
