TriMark People Solutions Inc. is seeking a Social Worker for the K'wak'walat'si Child and Family Services (KCFS) team in Alert Bay, BC. This full-time, permanent position focuses on prevention and strengthening families while ensuring child safety within the Namgis community.

You will provide direct support, advocacy, referrals, and collaborative planning with local partners. The role requires a BSW or related degree (or equivalent experience), a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work

Competenze

Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field, or equivalent experience.
Valid driver's license and access to reliable vehicle.
Employment is subject to satisfactory references and criminal record check.

Mansioni

Provide direct support to families, including voluntary services, advocacy, and referrals.
Maintain family support files and the Extended Family Program records.
Assist in ensuring access to food, safety equipment, and other basic needs for children and families.
Assess and support care homes and respite homes.
Develop and implement individual and family support plans in collaboration with MCFD.
Maintain ICM case records and documentation.
Collaborate with Namgis departments on parenting and family wellness workshops.
Partner with service providers on Cormorant Island and North Vancouver Island.
Deliver programs rooted in Namgis culture and values.
Follow agency protocols and provincial legislation.
