Kwantlen Polytechnic University invites applications for a Student Assistant (Indigenous Student Transition and Engagement) at the Gathering Place. You will act as a peer liaison to Indigenous students, help them access campus support services, and welcome guests in a warm, respectful environment to promote student engagement.
You will support Indigenous cultural and community events, contribute to bi-monthly newsletters and social media, maintain GP resources, and attend weekly team meetings.

Reporting to the Coordinator, Indigenous Student Transition and Engagement, the Student Assistant acts as a peer liaison and host to Indigenous students through one-on-one or small group interactions focusing on creating a safe and welcoming environment and promoting student engagement. The student assistant (also referred to as a Gathering Place Host) also supports a variety of cultural, social, and educational events at KPU.
