Job summary

Pinchin Ltd in Western Canada seeks an Indigenous Relations Leader to strengthen partnerships with Indigenous Nations, communities, organizations and businesses across the region. The role reports to the Director of Mining and blends relationship building with advisory support to advance reconciliation and community-focused project delivery.

You will collaborate with business development, operations and technical teams to identify opportunities, guide engagement planning, and support mining

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary education in Indigenous studies, community development, business, communications, natural resources, or related field.
  • Experience collaborating with Indigenous Nations, communities, or Indigenous-owned businesses.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous histories, rights, cultures, governance, and issues in Canada.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel across Western and Northern Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Strengthen Pinchin’s relationships with Indigenous Nations, communities, organizations, and Indigenous-owned businesses.
  • Guide engagement planning, protocols, cultural awareness, and community expectations.
  • Support mining pursuits, proposals, and Indigenous participation plans.
  • Coordinate engagement activities across operational, technical, and leadership teams.
  • Contribute to PAIR certification activities and reconciliation initiatives.
  • Maintain records of relationships, engagements, and opportunities.
