Job summary

Pinchin Ltd is seeking an Indigenous Relations Leader to join our Mining & Natural Resources team in Western Canada. You will strengthen relationships with Indigenous Nations, communities and organizations, and guide engagement planning with project teams.

Travel across Western and Northern Canada will be required; you will report to the Director of Mining and contribute to reconciliation commitments, procurement opportunities, and community-focused project delivery for clients and communities.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary education in Indigenous studies, community development, business, communications, natural resources, public administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working with Indigenous Nations, communities, organizations, or Indigenous-owned businesses.
• Knowledge of Indigenous histories, rights, cultures, governance structures, protocols, and contemporary issues in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain respectful, trust-based relationships with Indigenous Nations, communities, leadership, organizations, and Indigenous-owned businesses.
• Represent Pinchin at community meetings, cultural gatherings, conferences, and engagement sessions.
• Guide project teams on Indigenous engagement planning, protocols, cultural awareness, community expectations, and follow-through.
