Job summary

Pinchin Ltd. seeks an Indigenous Relations Leader to strengthen relationships with Indigenous Nations, communities, and businesses across Western Canada. You will work with mining and natural resources teams to advance engagement, reconciliation, and community-focused project delivery.

This leadership role reports to the Director of Mining and requires travel across Western Canada to build enduring partnerships and deliver value for clients and communities.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary education in Indigenous studies, community development, business, communications, natural resources, public administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with Indigenous Nations, communities, organizations, or Indigenous-owned businesses.
• Knowledge of Indigenous histories, rights, cultures, governance structures, protocols in Canada.
• Ability to develop authentic, respectful, and sustained relationships.
• Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Willingness to travel across Western and Northern Canada.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen Pinchin’s relationships with Indigenous Nations, communities, organizations, and businesses across Western Canada.
• Support Indigenous engagement initiatives and participation plans.
• Guide project teams on Indigenous engagement planning and cultural awareness.
• Represent Pinchin at community meetings, conferences, and engagement sessions.
• Support partnerships and reconciliation commitments.
• Maintain records of relationships and engagement activities.
