Job summary

CBC Indigenous in Winnipeg is seeking a full-time Videographer to join our team, producing visual journalism for CBC platforms. You will gather, edit, package, and distribute media for CBC Digital, television, and social channels.

You bring creative storytelling, editorial judgment in breaking news, and proficiency with video and audio formats. Knowledge of ENG camera operations and tools like Avid or Premiere Pro is essential.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or equivalent and 3 years in journalism with daily exposure to video tech.
• Editorial judgment for breaking news and enterprise journalism.
• Knowledge of video/audio standards, codecs and file formats.
• Experience with ENG cameras and related tech (mics, lighting, comms).

Responsibilities

• Gather, edit, package, and distribute media for CBC platforms including CBC, GEM, YouTube, digital, streaming, radio and television.
• Create visual storytelling using video, stills, graphics and audio to engage audiences.
• Meet tight deadlines for daily news and longer timeline deliverables.
• Collaborate with reporters and maintain CBC journalistic standards and integrity.
