Job Description

AECOM Buildings + Places, the company's Architectural business unit, is seeking an Indigenous Graduate Project Coordinator to join our team.

This position will be based out of our Ottawa, ON office.

This is a full-time role expected to begin as soon as possible.

AECOM’s Blooming Program strives to create opportunities for Indigenous Youth. The program focuses on the development of Indigenous Youth in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) through internships, mentorships, capacity development and post-graduate career opportunities. AECOM offers a wide variety of disciplines across our Canadian offices including planning & design, engineering, engagement and communications, marketing, economic development, architecture and more.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

AECOM Buildings + Places Canada (B+P Canada) is a vibrant and growing fully integrated team spanning architecture, all the building’s engineering disciplines, landscape architecture, urban planning, urban design, economics and asset management for design and infrastructure projects. Project assignments may include, although not limited to: Transit and Municipal, Commercial, and Institutional projects, Justice, Education and Government.

In the role of Project Coordinator , we are seeking an individual who will:

  • Be a part of our architectural business, as we work on delivering a series of exciting government Science & Technology projects focused on sustainable land and resource development, a low-carbon economy, and the safety and health of all.
  • Contribute YOUR ideas, experiences, innovations and forward-thinking solutions to help us build better communities for tomorrow.
  • Help accomplish assigned tasks, with support from experienced AECOM professionals.
  • Resolve routine questions and problems and refer more complex issues to higher/more experienced levels.
  • Perform data entry into an electronic document management system.
  • Prepare and maintain project filing system.
  • Assist in the receiving and distribution of project information.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • A University Degree in any subject would be ideal, but we will consider someone possessing any demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Potential candidates must be First Nations, Inuit or Metis, and applicants must declare that they are in the application form and our HR management system if successful.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $55,000.00 - $70,000.00.
