Job summary

Michipicoten First Nation seeks a full-time Family Support Worker to provide culturally safe, client-centred support to members and families facing personal or practical challenges. You will assess needs, plan goals, navigate services, advocate, and coordinate wraparound supports in collaboration with Health and Social Services and Child Welfare teams.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Social Work, Child and Youth Work, Family Support, Indigenous Studies, Social Services, Psychology, Addictions and Mental Health, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.
