Job summary

The Office of Indigenous Initiatives at the University of Toronto Mississauga seeks a Coordinator of Indigenous Programming to lead community engagement and educational programs for Indigenous and non-Indigenous community members. Reporting to the UTM Director, Indigenous Initiatives, you will initiate and oversee programs that advance Indigenous inclusion on campus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience developing and determining learning outcomes for programs and assessing their outcomes.
  • Experience dealing with diverse groups of students, staff, faculty and employers.
  • Experience delivering services to Indigenous communities, students and/or employees in post-secondary or community environment.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing community engagement strategies and plans.
  • Facilitating educational workshops and seminars.
  • Conceptualizing, organizing and executing event activities.
  • Developing content for marketing and promotional materials.
  • Developing strategies that maximize outreach to students.
  • Maintaining information on digital platforms.
  • Planning and overseeing the implementation of an evaluation framework for programs and initiatives.
