Job summary

School District 72 is seeking a temporary Indigenous Education Success Teacher at Quadra Elementary School to support Indigenous learners and implement the BC curriculum with an emphasis on the First Peoples Principles of Learning.

The role is a 0.30 FTE position with a salary range of $63,670 to $116,190, proportionate to FTE, and will be conducted within the Campbell River area on Quadra Island.

Qualifications

• Experience in Indigenous Education and working with Indigenous students.
• Knowledge of Indigenous histories, cultures, and contemporary issues.
• Commitment to BC Educators' Professional Standards and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Indigenous Education within Quadra Elementary School.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate BC Curriculum and First Peoples Principles of Learning.
• Support students with diverse needs and apply inclusive teaching practices.
