Job summary

Royal York Property Management is seeking experienced Electricians to diagnose and repair electrical issues across Ontario properties. You will travel to residential and commercial sites, complete service calls, and perform installations within your verified scope, using a mobile work app to manage orders and document work.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of electrical experience, own tools and a vehicle, and can operate independently while complying with safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of paid professional electrical experience.
• Must hold valid electrical trade status that can be verified.
• Able to work independently without supervision.
• Legally able to perform electrical work through appropriate contracting setup.
• Experience diagnosing residential or commercial electrical jobs.
• Own reliable vehicle to travel between appointments with tools and supplies.
• Own electrical tools and testing equipment appropriate for scope.
• Smartphone with GPS, able to read work orders and upload updates.
• Understand electrical safety, permits, notifications, and inspection requirements.
• Punctual, reliable, and able to meet GPS-confirmed appointments.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical issues and determine repairs or replacement.
• Complete service calls, repairs and installations within scope.
• Troubleshoot outlets, switches, lighting, fixtures, circuits, breakers, wiring.
• Perform residential and commercial electrical work per qualifications.
• Identify when permits, notifications, inspections or approvals are required.
• Test completed electrical work before leaving the property.
• Document findings, parts used, repairs completed and follow-up needs.
• Take clear photos of issues, panels, devices, wiring areas and completed work.
• Report unsafe conditions or work outside approved scope.
