Job summary

Canada Post seeks dependable, on-call relief Rural and Suburban Mail Carriers to deliver mail across communities around Sherwood Park, Alberta. This temporary, on-call role emphasizes independence and safe driving while handling mail and CPC services.

You will operate a vehicle in all weather, extend flexible hours, and have opportunities for future permanent positions as openings arise.

Qualifications

• Be dependable and organized.
• Possess a satisfactory safe driving record and a valid provincial driver’s license (class 5 + Non GDL).

Responsibilities

• Sort, collect and deliver mail items safely and timely.
• Know local infrastructure including roads, customers and delivery receptacles.
• Ensure mail is securely stored during transit.
• Process CPC products and services (Changes of Address, Damaged Mail, IDB, etc.).
• Wear Canada Post identification during delivery and pickups.
• Lift and carry items up to 50 lb/22.7 kg.
• Operate a vehicle under various weather conditions.
