Job summary

Vibrant Community Health seeks an Independent Living Assistant to support adults with physical disabilities in daily living in Ontario. You will provide intimate personal care, assist with transfers, meals, and light housekeeping while maintaining client dignity.

Under supervision, you will document bookings, hours, and communications, collaborating with staff to adapt to changing schedules and client needs. A PSW background enhances eligibility for this role.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of attendant care experience in community/home care.
• Ability to listen and follow client directions.
• Able to adapt to changes in routines and booking schedules.
• Excellent communication with clients and colleagues.
• Knowledge of the Independent Living Philosophy.
• PSW certification from a recognized school is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including transfers, morning and nighttime routines.
• Light housekeeping duties as part of daily care.
• Meal preparation including serving, feeding as required and cleanup.
• Record booking times and changes; manage cancellations promptly.
• Maintain client safety and dignity during service provision.
• Communicate relevant client information to the supervisor as needed.
