Chinook School Division invites applications for an Educational Assistant at Ruskin Hutterian School (Swift Current colony), starting Sept 1, 2026. The role supports students in both individual and classroom settings, with emphasis on speech, motor and language development, and life skills.

Collaboration with a team is essential in a fast-paced, student-centered environment. Successful candidates should have an Educational Assistant certification or relevant experience, a positive attitude

Qualifications

• Educational Assistant certification or relevant experience
• Ability to work with students in one-on-one and classroom setting
• Experience or ability to work with young children
• Strong interpersonal and relationship skills, and an ability to work in a team environment
• A positive and flexible attitude to change
• Interview will be required
• Knowledge of, and respect for, Hutterian culture
• Respect for diverse cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives
• Demonstrates a commitment to truth and reconciliation

Responsibilities

• Assisting with a student's educational program
• Ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced student-centered environment
• Willingness to meet the health and hygiene needs of children as required
• Based on needs of individual students, provide individual students with assistance in speech, motor, and language development and social and life skills
• Work as part of a team in development and implementation of Individual Improvement Plan
• May involve some lifts and transfers
• Other duties as assigned
