Job summary

The Chinook School Division is seeking five Educational Assistants to support students in the Functional Integrated program at Swift Current Comprehensive High School in Saskatchewan. This permanent full-time role (1.0 FTE/30 hours per week) offers opportunities to work with diverse learners and contribute to Individual Improvement Plans.

Qualifications

• Educational Assistant certification or early childhood training is an asset.
• Ability and experience in working with children.
• Physical ability to work with active students.
• Lifting may be required.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship skills, and an ability to work in a team environment.
• A positive and flexible attitude to change.
• Demonstrates a commitment to truth and reconciliation.
• Demonstrates a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to meet the health and hygiene needs of children as required.
• Work one on one with students and within a classroom setting.
• Based on needs of individual students, provide individual students with assistance in speech, motor, and language development and social and life skills.
• Work as part of a team in development and implementation of Individual Improvement Plan
