Job Description

We are looking for an energetic team player to join the Pet Valu Warehouse & Distribution team! Join our team! We have an exciting new opportunity in our Calgary Warehouse as a Warehouse Supervisor. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of warehouse workers including Warehouse Staff, Warehouse Administrators, and supplementary staff as required. This position oversees all warehouse activity during the shift.

Responsibilities

1. Provide direction and monitor the work of warehouse staff, including pickers, packers, reach truck operators, and shippers/receivers, addressing issues as they arise.
2. Ensure safety compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
3. Provide training, coaching, and performance management to staff.
4. Handle administrative tasks such as productivity reports, inventory discrepancies, and paperwork related to receiving, transfers, and picking.
5. Maintain high levels of customer service and address store needs.
6. Perform cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
7. Ensure pest control and housekeeping standards are maintained.
8. Manage opening and closing procedures, including security measures.
9. Work towards achieving warehouse success metrics like productivity, inventory accuracy, and safety inspections.
10. Adhere to policies to secure merchandise and property.

Education & Experience

• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
• Lift Truck and Health and Safety certification or willingness to recertify.
• Ability to analyze and improve warehouse operations.
• Teamwork skills.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
