Fraser Health Authority is seeking a Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join Ridge Meadows Hospital. Under a Registered Speech Language Pathologist, you will implement treatment plans, support patient progress, and help individuals achieve communication and swallowing goals in a welcoming community setting.

You will work within Fraser Health's collaborative, compassionate team, contributing to high-quality, patient-centered care, and participating in family and interprofessional conferences

Qualificações

• Completion of a Rehabilitation Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to organize work and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
• Physical ability to carry out duties as required.

Responsabilidades

• Administers defined screening protocols for speech, language, and swallowing under supervision.
• Assists the supervising Speech Language Pathologist during assessments and data collection.
• Supports patients with dysphagia, including feeding and implementing compensatory strategies.
• Follows and implements treatment plans and assists in individual and group activities.
• Documents patient performance and reports progress to the supervising clinician.
• Participates in conferences and interprofessional teams to support care.
• Performs administrative tasks and assists with inventory and patient data management.
