Job summary

Nurse Next Door is hiring caregivers to provide in-home care on Vancouver Island. You will support clients with meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, and personal care according to care plans.

Responsibilities include following the client’s care plan, ensuring safety, completing accurate records, and coordinating visits across North Vancouver Island. Flexible shifts from 7:00 to 15:00, 15:00 to 23:00, and 23:00 to 7:00 are available, including weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1 year previous caregiving experience.
• Must be able to communicate in English. Other languages are an asset.
• Current TB Screen and Criminal Record Check.
• Must be able to legally work in surrounding areas to apply for this position.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, and/or provide companionship and personal care.
• Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly.
• Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description.
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly.
• Service North Vancouver Island surrounding area.
• Looking for all visit times (700-1500, 1500-2300, 2300-700) weekdays and weekends.
